What I know to be true…your body is constantly trying to communicate with you. It’s our job to lean in and listen. If you want to step off the chronic pain and migraine rollercoaster, I can help you make it happen while creating ease and freedom in your body and life.

Over the past 24 years, I have specialized in helping people relieve, heal, and prevent chronic pain and migraines with a holistic approach by infusing the BodyMind Method with Lifestyle Medicine principles to transform their health while nurturing their wellbeing with my unique Whole Body Empowered Framework.

On the day I found myself flying through the air head first, while entangled with a Thoroughbred racehorse, I had no idea how that exact moment in time would shape the rest of my life.

I hit the dirt going 42 mph. The racehorse I was riding went down, taking me down with him.  I had many concussions, injuries, broken bones prior but this one was different, this crash ended my career as a jockey. I had fractured my back, jaw, skull, and suffered a brain injury.

As a professional athlete and over achiever, I approached my recovery with the same attitude of “push through”, “do more”, and “no pain, no gain”.

I battled my body…which only made me feel more disconnected from myself. 

My days were filled with nagging chronic pain that wouldn’t go away as one sharp migraine rolled into another. I was not able to work or take care of myself most days. I felt isolated in my pain and uncertain of what support my body needed. Something had to change. 

My “healing journey” was a long and twisting road. To better understand my own body, I dove into all things anatomy and physiology, fascia, the nervous system, nutrition, lifestyle medicine, and the powerful body mind connection as I stepped off the pain cycle rollercoaster and took back my life one step at a time.

To achieve true transformational healing and lasting change, I know first hand how we need to come back home, reconnect to our whole self, and be an active participant in our own healing process. Making empowered choices that support our health, while nurturing our wellbeing, is an incredibly freeing process in order to feel like yourself again with a zest for life!

You should also know these 4 random (but necessary) facts…

  • I learned how to harness and maintain my energy on a daily basis to enjoy the ride being a MomLady to my teenage twins.

  • At an early age, horses taught me the sense of touch, presence, and embodiment. Just being around these magnificently sensitive animals is like breathing for me and fills my soul. These gifts that horses taught me translates and permeates into how I connect to people.

  • Being in nature, hiking in the woods, and climbing mountains is how I ground myself and reset. The ultimate experience was the epic day my friends and I climbed to basecamp on Mt. Rainier. It is impossible to not be in your body on-top of that mountain!

  • I firmly believe movement is life. So grateful for everyday I am able to put one foot in front of the other, no matter what that movement will look like, since everyday is different. Understanding the language of my body, as I navigate chronic pain, has allowed me the knowledge of what my body needs and the awareness to make adjustments or modifications so that I can continue to experience joy and do the things I love.
