The BIG Question Answered

Here it is, the BIG question I get asked…

“Why is it called BodyMind Coaching not MindBody?”

I love this question.

You know how you can get caught up in all the busyness of life and all the “doing”? We have our To-Do lists, schedules, meetings, projects due, kids to Uber around, deadlines, and on and on. Our mind is on overdrive with the juggle and our body is caught in constant fight or flight, turning on our Sympathetic Nervous System response to keep up.

Over time, we get used to the juggle, high stress, swirly thoughts, the overwhelm, and it becomes our “normal”. We then undergo mental hoops in effort to “figure it all out”. This process perpetuates the mental loop and keeps us in our head, disconnected from our body and our whole self.

But did you know that your Vagus nerve, which connects parts of your body to your brain, sends 80% of the messages from your body up to your brain? Yes! Let that sink in. The majority of messages are traveling UP the Vagus nerve from your body to your brain.

By learning how to come back down into your body, listen, honor what your body needs, and actually live in your body, you will discover and unleash your SUPERPOWERS! Tap into your resources, your inner wisdom, gain clarity, and a deeper connectedness to yourself. This my friends is freedom and joy!

Since my early 20’s my journey has always been to better understand my own body, my injuries, and those limitations I didn’t want to fully embrace and give power to. My path has had many twists and turns along the way that I welcomed with curiosity and learning.

Two years ago, my path led me on another adventure to further my education once again. I enrolled into the BodyMind coaching program. The training I received was the BodyMind Method and this is the foundation that I coach from. Combining my experience, knowledge, and reverence for the body, I feel things have now come full circle. For me, BodyMind coaching was a gift, the missing piece to experience transformational change in my own life. It has been incredibly powerful for me personally and why I love sharing this work empowering others to live fully.
